It's COLD!!!!!! and I'm not moving nearly fast enough on these kids mittens. This morning as we were leaving the house in the 5 degree snow and ice Bug said, "Mom, have you finished my mittens YET?" Sadly I had to say no. At least she has a new hat.

Chalk that up to mittens 0 hat 1. At least I have forward momentum. The hat is knit with Joann Sensations wool/cotton. I don't remember the name and have already tossed the label. It's knit from a Midnight Knitter pattern I came across. Big yarn, big needles, lots of yarn overs. Fast hat. I made up the crocheted flower as I went along. It was a fun hat to make, I would do it again. Most importantly, Bug likes it.
Shockingly enough, I do have a second FO to report. The fingerless wrist warmers are finished and on my fingers.
Ok, you caught me, those aren't my fingers. Have you ever noticed how hard it is to take photos of your own hands? Bitty agreed to model the new warmers for me. She is a much better model than I am anyway, wouldn't you say?
So that's two FOs for me today. I plan to have at least one more by the end of the day. Not all my stix are naked, but I am getting closer.
This is what it looks like when you find tracks while hunting wild knits in the snow. Can you make out my two FOs there?
